Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Amber Hour Labs is reader-supported. This page explains exactly how we make money, because you deserve to know before you trust a recommendation.
How we earn
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. This is our primary source of income and it is what keeps the site independent.
What affiliate money does not buy
- Rankings. Our picks are decided before commercial considerations, not after.
- Coverage. Brands cannot pay to be included, featured, or reviewed favorably.
- Silence. If a product with a program we belong to has real problems, we say so.
What we do not do
We do not accept sponsored posts presented as reviews. We do not accept payment for placements. We do not perform hands-on lab testing, and we never pretend otherwise: our method is research synthesis, described in full on the How We Rate page.
FTC compliance
In line with FTC guidelines, every article that contains affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top of the page. This page is the long-form version of that disclosure.
